Welcome, Trainer! This quick-reference manual is here to help you find answers to common questions on Focumon's game system and get started on your adventure.

🐣 How to collect Focumon?

Once a day, open the Focus Portal for a chance to summon a new Focumon to join your journey. Participate in special events and collect memories to summon legendary Focumon!

⏰ How to start a focus session?

Tap the green Focus Now button on the dashboard and select any training center to join. Focus sessions are multiplayer-first, but you can also enable solo mode in Settings. Invite friends to focus together by sharing the link to your current training center! For more information on how to use the focus timer, check out our focus protocol.

⛩️ What's my training center?

A training center is your own public space on the internet, where trainers can come to visit and focus in! Access it by tapping My Training Center in the top right dropdown menu. You can customize it with your Focumon, and create your own NPCs in it to greet visitors!

🔥 How to evolve my Focumon?

Focus with a Focumon to earn EXP for it and level them up on the details page. At the required level, evolve your Focumon by using materials dropped from focus sessions. Note: the starters and some rare Focumon require evolution stones to evolve, which can be obtained from the portal, events, and by completing daily goals.

🌸 A garden on my dashboard!?

Every day, a small garden blooms on your dashboard, which is updated every time you conclude a focus session. Watch a new flower grow for every 20 minutes of quality focus time! Up to 6 Focumon you place in your training center will happily hang out in the garden as more flower grow.

🥳 I heard there's a Focus Party happening!

A Focus Party is a team of up to 6 trainers who work together to stay accountable, chat, participate in special events, and celebrate wins. It's a great way to stay motivated while achieving your daily goals. To join a Focus Party, you need to reach Trainer Level 3 and visit to the Party tab.

Joining a Focus Party is completely optional! Whether you prefer a smaller party size or want to enjoy the experience solo, that’s perfectly fine. At Focumon, we’re dedicated to ensuring an excellent experience for all our users, regardless of party size. Feel free to participate in a way that suits you best!

🔋 What is the Trainer Stamina?

Trainer Stamina is a replenishable resource used for logging missed sessions and in the Summoner's Expedition event. You can also lose stamina from triggering penalties through logging negative actions with the Habits tool. Stamina recovers by 10 at the start of each day (doubled if you subscribe to the Focus! Pro Pass). Use Stamina Potions for instant recovery. The initial stamina cap is 50, which increases by 1 for every trainer level you gain, up to 100.

📅 What are Daily Goals and Stardusts?

Unlike the four productivity tools, Focumon's goal system is desined to help you stay focused on your long-term aspirations, and it affects your game progression. Think of it like "main quests" in a typical role-playing game.

Daily Goals: Set a daily goal by tapping "Set a daily goal" on the Focumon details page. Treat it as a daily theme to steer your priorities - something you can make progress on every day for the next month. Some ideas for daily goals: self-care, exercise, make progress on a project, or perform an act of kindness.

Goal Stars: Your Goal Buddy earns a star every time you complete its goal. You can assign different goals to different Focumon, but only one Focumon can be your active Goal Buddy at a time. This means that there is a one-goal limit per day. For managing multiple smaller goals, use Quests or Habits instead.

Stardusts & Shinies: Each day, you can earn a star for your selected Focus Buddy by self-reporting a goal completion. Collect all 30 stars to shinify it and get 10 stardust, which can be converted to any evolution stone you want.

📊 How can I track categorized time statistics?

Focumon provides a simple tagging system to help track how you spend your time. Here's how it works:

Less granular tracking: You can attach multiple tags to a focus session (at the end of the session). Each tag will receive the entire duration of that session in statistics, allowing you to track time spent across various dimensions (e.g. "Language Learning" vs "Gym" & "Super Productive" vs "Less Productive").

More granular tracking: Enable the Stack productivity tool. This lets you create stack presets with tags for specific time blocks, giving you precise control over how your time is tracked within each focus session.

Viewing the statistics: Tap "View Statistics by All Time" on the dashboard to visit the stats page, where you'll see a basic bar graph that gives an overview of your time statistics. For a breakdown by tag, use the pie chart at the bottom of the screen. You can tap on a tag in the pie chart to remove or isolate its data from the graph for a more customized view.

P.S. The light & dark mode of this app is automatically synced with your system. Go to Settings > General to configure your preferred color mode. Some browser extensions interfere with Focumon's user interface. If you run into an issue, try disabling all browser extensions then relaunch the browser.
